The printer looks for nearby wireless networks and displays them.Ģ. Type Wireless setup utility in the search box. Move the mouse cursor to the upper right corner of the screen until the Charms Bar appears. Click on the Wi-Fi Icon for the Printer Setup over wireless network. Enter the WPS PIN on the router security page ( under WPS option). Please select the Pin Method, a 8- 10 digit Number will be listed under the PIN method. On the Printer Operator Panel, press Set up, then select Network Set up, then select WPS PushMethod or Pin Method. Try connecting using WPS, providing your router and printer are WPS Compliant (a WPS Compliant router will have a logo on it ) In case the steps above do not work or the Wireless setup utility is not available. The Allow Dell Software window may appear. Select the type of Network Security the wireless router has, then click Continue, then enter the network key. Enter the Network Name, then click Continue. Your Wireless Network Name Does not appears in the List 
When instructed remove the USB cable from the computer and printer.
The Allow Dell Software window may appear, if so click OK or Continue. Click on your network and click on continue. Your Wireless Network Name Appears in the List During the process the printer looks for nearby wireless networks and displays them. Touch or click Wireless setup utility and follow the prompts. In the Search box, type Wireless setup utility in the search box. Ensure the USB cable is attached to both the printer and the computer. This may provide some or all of your printer’s functionality, but you may be limited to only connecting to your printer using a USB cable. 
You may also be able to use Compatibility Mode as a means to install printer drivers or software from past versions of Windows. As an alternate you may be able to use Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS), for more information, refer to the WPS steps in each OS section. These support applications may not be available for every Operating System (OS). The Wireless setup utility mentioned in this article is part of the support applications for your printer, and is the best option to setup the wireless printer so it can connect to your wireless network.
